When It All Falls Down

July 21, 2010 by prayer_works No Prayers Yet »

It seems that everytime I have something bad happen in my life I question the Lord and His incredible love for me.  “Why God, why?” I tend to ask.  “Why would you do this to me?” And “How could this possibly be good?” run through my mind.  Everytime though, the change that I feared so much and rebuked the Lord for, was for the better and I learned something about myself, my faith, my love for others and/or my selfishness within.

The truth is, without the hardship and struggle we go through, we would not have defining moments, or accomplishment.  We would not be thankful for the blessings we have and we would not value our Lord and His eternal love and commitment to us.  We would not draw close to our Lord, as He wants us to.  We would have no guidance for our path to walk, because there would be no consequence, nor reason for us to change.

Change is inevitable.  God changes us and our surroundings for reasons only He knows but through it all, He never abandons us.  Why should I ask the Most High “why?”?  What answer would I get that would change the situation or reverse the event?  Only the Lord has the power to reverse events and He knows us more intimately than anyone.  The why is not always for us to know; What we do about it is.

Fellow Christians, in times of struggle and hardship, draw Him ever nearer to your heart.  Be thankful for the struggle and rejoice in Him.  He never will abandon you, and in times of struggle, He is closer than ever.  We just need to open our hearts to Him and hear His voice in our lives, through the pain and hardship.

This is so much easier said than done but a supernatural peace will still your heart when you do.  When you draw the Lord close and take your struggle to Him, you will find the Lord waiting for you.  Do not fear.  The Lord is with you always.

I hope that these words encourage your relationship with God and may you, even in the toughest of times, rejoice in the Lord and hold Him ever closer to your heart.  Lifting up my hardship to the Lord and drawing Him ever closer in the worst of times, has had an incredible effect on me as a person and as a sinner and as a Christian.  It strengthens my faith and gives me peace everytime and it is my prayer that it does the same for you.

Thank you for reading and God bless you.

Take the time to pray for someone

January 22, 2010 by prayer_works No Prayers Yet »

Prayer is powerful but prayer for another, even more so. Today, take the time to pray for someone else and their needs. You never know just how much your prayers have helped someone until you have prayed for them and believed in the Lord to truly answer your prayer. Nothing is above God and therefore nothing is too big for Him.

Try it out, pray for someone else and see what happens.

The Lord keep you and bless you.

Prayer doesn’t have to be perfect, He listens to what your heart says too.

October 11, 2009 by prayer_works No Prayers Yet »

I know that praying to God can be a difficult task for those that don’t do it very frequently or aren’t comfortable praying around people.  I personally had a fear of having to pray the perfect prayer in order for God to hear me, and I could not have been more wrong about how it works.

You see, I would listen to these pastors and really anointed men and women of God, praying their hearts out and it sounded so great to my ears.  I kept finding myself saying, “Wow.  I wish I can pray like that one day.”  and I still to this day, can’t.  I can’t pray like those people but what I didn’t realize was that God hears my heart when I lift it up to Him.  To Him, anyone praying sounds as awesome and eloquent as those anointed men and women of God that I was jealous of.  The act of lifting our hearts to the Lord to say “Thank you” or “Lord, I need you in this time of my life, more than ever” or many other things is what makes our prayers so important to God.

Your prayer is your conversation with the Lord and a thing that cannot rightly be judged by anyone.  It is between you and the Lord and how you say it is how you say it.  The Lord speaks to all of us in different ways and in turn, we all speak to Him in different ways too.  No ones prayer is better or more important that anyone elses’.  As long as the prayer is from the heart, God will listen and He will answer you.  There is no time frame, just have faith that your prayer will be answered and wait on the Lord for it.  Have faith in Him, ask and you shall receive.

To end this little note, I wanted to say, I love you.  Even though I don’t know you, I love you with my heart out and lifted to the Lord.  I love you because you are my brother or sister in the Lord and because He has opened my heart and I in turn open it to you.  Love defeats all evil and His love is eternal.  You are not alone in this world.  He is there with you.  Open up your heart and pray to Him to receive his blessings and start a new life in Him.  It doesn’t matter how you pray, pray from your heart and the right words will come out.  It’s amazing but true.

God bless and God’s love.

Dear all,

God bless all of you and I hope that through this prayer blog you receive the prayer support you need.  We, here at YourPrayerBlog.com, just want to let you know that we pray for every request that is posted here.  We join you in prayer for your needs, we rejoice and praise the Lord with your testimonies, and most of all we are here to remind you that God is here for you in those times when you feel that no one else is.

We believe that prayer by many people for the same thing will be amplified in heaven and God put it on our hearts to create a place where people can spread their need and have others join them in prayer for those needs.  Thus, we have the the prayer blog.

Father, thank you for your blessings and for your compassion for us, that you would give us a way to take our needs directly to you Lord.  Thank you for answering prayers, even if it is not in the way we think it should be answered.  Your will be done, Lord.  Please give all of those posting on this prayer blog a renewed spirit in you and in your word.  I pray that they may turn to you in times of darkness and light and rejoice in the fact that you are their God.  Their Healer and Redeemer, Lord, may they come to you with all things and be encouraged by your words.  Thank you for your Grace and Love.  Amen!

Thank you all for posting here.  We want you to feel encouraged by this blog, to pray to God with your needs and by posting them here, the community can pray along side you.  You are not alone in your prayers here so please post away so we can join you in prayer.
