The Word

April 14, 2009 by prayer_works 6 Prayers »

Please feel free to post your favorite bible verse or story here.  We would love to know your favorite Word and why you choose them.

One of my favorites is

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” -Corinthians 15:58

This passage is so powerful to me because it reminds me to do exactly what it says.  Stand firm and keep going.  Commit fully to the work of the Lord because the work you do is not in vain.

Post your own inspirations drawn from the bible.  Share your truth with everyone else.

Blessings.

“And above all things have feverent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”

    1 Peter 4:8

This passage reminds me to love and pray for others regardless of the situation. If I get upset with someone than I try to pray for them and also for patience for me. I don’t always do it but it is something I am trying to do more and more.

    God Bless.

” But God had so much loving-kindness. He loved us with such a great love. Even when we were dead because of our sins, He made us alive by what Christ did for us. You have been saved from punishment of sin by His loving favor. God raised us up from the dead when he raised up Christ Jesus. He has given us a place with Christ in heavens. He did this to show us through all the time to come the great riches of his loving favor. He has shown us kindness through Christ Jesus.”

    EPHESIANS 2:4-7

    I love this verse:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
    Phillipians 4:13

This verse reminds me that through Christ, I can do all things and that is something powerful that I can just grasp ahold of and keep in my heart.

I hope that this verse speaks to you as well.

    God Bless.

  5. admin says:

“In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness;…”

    Psalm 71:1-2

I hope that this Word speaks to your heart like it does mine. God Bless!
