God gives when we pray!

July 14, 2009 by prayer_works No Prayers Yet »

“God, through prayer, opens eyes, changes hearts, heals wounds, and grants wisdom” (James 1:5)

This verse speaks volumes to me about the power of God and His love for us and I hope it gives you some insight into the power that we wield when we are a praying people.  Prayer is a direct communication with the Lord, our God, and this verse and many others confirm the God communicates back in return.

We may ask for earthly things, changes of emotion, results on a test, a solution to a problem, that awesome bicycle, a ps3 for your birthday and much more, but the Lord provides results in the form of opened eyes, changed hearts, healed wounds and wisdom.  Of course, these gifts may come about in different ways, even ways that we didn’t expect or want, but the Lord has our best interests at hand and this we need to remember.

I pray that you see the power in prayer for you and yours and that you will prosper in your walk with the Lord.

God bless.  Peace and Love.

Dear all,

God bless all of you and I hope that through this prayer blog you receive the prayer support you need.  We, here at YourPrayerBlog.com, just want to let you know that we pray for every request that is posted here.  We join you in prayer for your needs, we rejoice and praise the Lord with your testimonies, and most of all we are here to remind you that God is here for you in those times when you feel that no one else is.

We believe that prayer by many people for the same thing will be amplified in heaven and God put it on our hearts to create a place where people can spread their need and have others join them in prayer for those needs.  Thus, we have the the prayer blog.

Father, thank you for your blessings and for your compassion for us, that you would give us a way to take our needs directly to you Lord.  Thank you for answering prayers, even if it is not in the way we think it should be answered.  Your will be done, Lord.  Please give all of those posting on this prayer blog a renewed spirit in you and in your word.  I pray that they may turn to you in times of darkness and light and rejoice in the fact that you are their God.  Their Healer and Redeemer, Lord, may they come to you with all things and be encouraged by your words.  Thank you for your Grace and Love.  Amen!

Thank you all for posting here.  We want you to feel encouraged by this blog, to pray to God with your needs and by posting them here, the community can pray along side you.  You are not alone in your prayers here so please post away so we can join you in prayer.

Blessings and Love.

Something Powerful from the Bible

The Armor of God

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full power of God so that you can take your stand against the Devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13

This passage (there is actually more if you keep reading in the bible) is incredible and it reminds me every day that we have God’s protection, we just have to acknowledge it in our hearts.  This Word encourages me to no end and it lifts my spirits in those times when I don’t know what’s going on and everything seems to be falling apart.  Don the armor of the Lord and stand!

God bless you and I hope this Word speaks to you as it does me.

God touches all of our lives

May 7, 2009 by prayer_works No Prayers Yet »

Earlier today when my fiance and I were having dinner at a local restaraunt, we came across another example of God working in our life and other peoples’ lives as well.  You see, often my fiance and I share a meal because we both don’t eat that much and the nowadays the helpings of food are quite large.  It seems that this action on our part triggered a loving action on the part of another young couple who was sitting next to us, in the form of a desert.

This couple sitting next to us had apparently overheard our prayers before our meal and thought that we had ordered only one meal because we couldn’t afford two.  They, being of incredibly kind heart, secretly ordered a desert for us and offered to buy us another plate.  Suprised by this offering, we then introduced ourselves and learned that this kind hearted couple were new christians who had felt called to try to help us.  Though we were not in need of the offered help, this action on the part of complete strangers to try to help us out in a perceived time of need was so awesome and touching, it made me smile from ear to ear.

It is so great to see the power of God in other people and the actions that they take.  I felt very fortunate to have met such great hearted and helpful people.  Though we were not in need of it at the time, their intentions were definitely in the right place and it made me feel warm inside that these new believers would be so well on the right track in giving to others and helping others.

This really touched my heart and I just wanted to share it with you.

Love and blessings.

From the Bible

“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.

Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:11-12
